God Knows Your Heart

1 Samuel 16:6

“Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; For God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

God knows man, and God know you better than anyone else. He looks at your heart and your intentions, He knows your motivations. Even when other men think they can make judgements on us. It is only God who truly knows. In 1 Samuel, He knew what His anointed looked like. It was not the outside He was looking at. While man tried to find a man that looked stately, or kingly, God knew those were not the right fit. He knew David was the man with the right heart. When Jesus was walking through Jericho, He knew that Zaccheus had the right seeking heart. Others in town only saw Zaccheus as a rich tax collecting sinner, but Jesus knew “Today, salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham.”

God knows your heart. He knows where you fall short, He knows where you lack. He also knows where you need help. He loves you. God told us we have to be different to follow Him, to be one of His children. He knows if you are working toward Him, and He has given assurance that He will provide when we need help. But we have to let Him. We have to have that faith to trust Him and allow Him to work in our lives and our hearts. Whatever the world is saying about you does not matter. God Knows. Give it to Him. Open your heart to Him.
